Brass Tacks: 3M Half Marathon

Total time: 2:17:35 (Goal 2:10:00) (PR 2:20:12) (NEW PR!)
Average pace: 10:29/M (Goal 10:00/M)
Division (Age Group) Place: 305/506 (40th Percentile) (Goal: Top 50%)
Gender Place: 1616/2891 (44th Percentile) (Goal: Top 50%)

Lows: After ten downhill miles, trudging through the last three all uphill was tough; paying the price of knee pain at mile 4 and heightened soreness all over that comes from running ten miles directly downhill (still, it was fun while it lasted!); waiting in the pre-dawn sub 40-degree tundra for the race to begin; and getting slammed by 30-degree wind chill factor cutting through three layers of wet running clothes (STILL trying to get my core temp back up.  More coffee, please!)

Highs: Packet pickup; this race is renowned for it swag, and I got Scotch Tape in three varieties, a lint brush, blister band aids, spray glue, and tons of other home/office supplies; scoring a 10K Split of 1:03:39, on pace with my 10-minute mile for the first half of the race, for going downhill the whole way; and of course, GETTING A NEW PR!
